1. General Terms of Use
This document is an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder. This platform and the brand name Musical Pathshala are owned and operated by the academy registration located at Shastri Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
By enrolling a student, attending free trial classes, accessing the website, or utilizing the Academy OS student portal, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf.
Registration & Accounts: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information during lead generation, demo booking, and portal registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your student portal credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Intellectual Property: All customized learning resources, practice backing tracks, video guides, homework sheets, and curriculum materials shared during online or offline classes are the exclusive intellectual property of Musical Pathshala. Sharing, selling, or distributing these materials outside the academy portal is strictly prohibited.
2. Classroom Rules & Studio Guidelines
To maintain a professional, supportive, and focused educational conservatory environment, students must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Instrument Handling: Physical studio instruments (guitars, pianos, keyboards, tablas) represent valuable academy property. Students are expected to handle instruments with utmost care. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to deliberate negligence or violation of rules shall be financially reimbursed by the student or their guardian.
- Punctuality: Offline studio sessions and online classroom links start precisely on time. Teachers will not extend sessions past the scheduled hour for late arrivals.
- Footwear & Apparel: Students attending physical dance studios must wear clean indoor shoes or grip socks as specified by coordinates. Normal street shoes are prohibited on dance floors.
- Prohibited Items: Food, open drinks, chewing gum, and liquids are strictly prohibited inside the main keyboard/piano classrooms and vocal recording booths. Only capped water bottles are allowed.
- Behavioral Policy: Bullying, harassment, or disrespectful behavior towards fellow learners, administrative staff, or instructors will result in immediate suspension of studio access without a refund.
3. Bookings, Rescheduling & Refund Policy
Our administrative billing systems are built around structured batches and committed slots. Please review the following booking parameters carefully:
- Rescheduling Classes: If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, you must submit a reschedule request via the Student Portal or inform the administration at least 24 hours prior to the class time.
- Makeup Policy: A maximum of 2 makeup classes per student are permitted each month, subject to available calendar slots. If a student misses a class without giving a 24-hour notice, that class will be marked as "Absent" and cannot be made up or refunded.
- Refund Policy:
- Once a monthly billing cycle/batch has commenced, tuition fees are 100% non-refundable.
- If a withdrawal request is submitted in writing before the first class of a monthly billing cycle, the student is eligible for a 90% refund (10% is retained as a flat administration and slot processing fee).
- Free trial classes are completely free, with no payment credentials required.
- Board Examination Registrations: Any fees paid towards official board registrations (Trinity College London, Rockschool, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, etc.) are paid directly to external entities and are entirely non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
4. Data Privacy Policy
Musical Pathshala is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy details how we handle student data:
Information Collection: We collect personal details necessary for academic enrollment, including student name, age/date of birth, guardian name, WhatsApp phone number, email address, program interests, and billing history.
How We Use Data: Collected information is utilized to configure dashboard portals, schedule lessons, send automated reminders, share parent-teacher feedback reports, process transactions securely, and coordinate festival/performance invitations.
No Third-Party Selling: We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal contact details to external marketing agencies. Data is only accessible to authorized academy administrators and coordinators.
Data Modification & Deletion: Parents and student account holders can review, edit, or request complete removal of their personal profile and lesson logs by writing directly to our support desk at musicalpathshala@gmail.com.
5. Liability & Legal Jurisdiction
Personal Belongings: Musical Pathshala and its coordinators are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings (including student-owned instruments left in lockers or classrooms) on physical studio premises.
Force Majeure: The academy is not liable for failures or delays in service delivery (including class suspensions) resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, governmental regulations, power grid collapses, or pandemic lockdowns.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Musical Pathshala, its founder, staff, and affiliates from any claim, damage, or legal liability arising out of your breach of these terms, or any injury caused by negligent conduct inside our physical facilities.
Governing Law: These policies, terms of use, and legal relationships shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Please review and check each section below to confirm your agreement. Every checkbox is dynamically logged with an Indian Standard Time (IST) stamp. Accepting these terms constitutes a binding legal agreement.
